The inaugural assister forum, hosted by the Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight (CCIIO) took place on September 26th in Washington, D.C. The forum discussed best practices and shared strategies for enhancing assister capacity to perform outreach, education, and enrollment activities for the 2017 Open Enrollment period and beyond. New Marketplace Application enhancements and CMS outreach and enrollment strategies were also discussed at the forum. CMS will provide in-depth overviews of these topics in future Marketplace Assister newsletters and webinars.
The forum was attended by 120 Navigators in Washington, D.C., and approximately 1,000 assisters nationwide via remote live streaming. CCIIO thanks all of the assisters who attended, both in person and via live-stream, for helping to make the event a success.
