Community health centers are an important part of the health care system in Nebraska, providing comprehensive health services to the medically underserved.
In 2014 Nebraska community health centers served over 69,000 individuals, 50% of whom were uninsured. Without community health centers many of these people would have either gone without care or had to turn to hospital Emergency Rooms.
